Not really that nice, there’s worse though, but if people can rate this high imagine if they tried a decent cask conditioned bitter? ElGaucho (1730), Minneapolis, Minnesota, USA

Buttery esters, clearly English aroma that is not quite typical of an ESB. Clear amber with a thin, slightly off-white head. Dry, thin flaovr with some malt. Nondescript brew, but I’ll bet the English love it. apingos (77), Rockford, Illinois, USA
| 2.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 2/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | May 7, 2009 bottle. Poured amber, a bit of a skunk aroma at first but the ale tasted sweet with a dry bitter, spicy orange after. Good mouth feel. A bit too much carbonation. not overly hopped.

| 2.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 2/5 | 12/20 | Aug 12, 2008 Murky brown pour with one finger white head. Aroma is of sweet caramel malt, toasty biscuit, and grassy hops. Flavor is sweet with caramel with a bit of acidity. Hop bitterness is present, but barely. Palate is smooth, but horribly thin. Carbonation is minimal. Nothing special here... Cirrhosis (619), Edmonton, Alberta, Canada

Another beer to drink but this one special it claims on the back of the bottle “Suitable for vegetarians” I can finally drink a beer now without risk of getting a giant hunk of pork in it. Beer appears to be hazy honey brown with a very tall very thick very long lasting cap on top, the lacing is stupidly thick. Strong aroma I can smell it from across the table, this aroma seems wrong; arm pit, wood, mild toffee, touch of skunky hops. The taste is at least sweet and malty with a bitter finish. Some notable hops, pepper, mild coffee, touch of a metallic finish. Brew goes down smooth and is medium bodied. Good beer nothing special would never purchase again unless I found it on tap maybe." heemer77 (4304), Savannah, Missouri, USA
| 2.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 10/20 | Sep 29, 2005 This has a medium orange body with some hints of copper. The head is just barely tinted with yellow. The aroma is rich with some fresh wheat grain. Yes I have smelled this, I grew up in Kansas. There is also a light note of caramel and some molasses. The taste is light iced tea with some very light carmael and toasted walnuts. A decent ESB. jgb9348 (2500), Arlington (Pentagon City), Virginia, USA
| 2.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 2/5 | 11/20 | Oct 24, 2009 Clear amber-tinted copper coloured body with a thin (one centimetre) slightly off-white head. Decent looking, nothing special though. Aroma of fruit, raisins, pit fruits, caramel, malt and a touch of hops. Medium-bodied; Malty flavour up front with an odd cereal taste in the middle along with a nutty finish. Aftertaste shows caramel, pit fruits and an overwhelmingly bitter malt taste - no hops at all. Overall, a decent beer - not amazing by any means, but not horrible either. I sampled this 500 mL bottle purchased from the LCBO (Summerhill) in Toronto, Ontario, Canada on 11-October-2009, sampled at home on the Eastern Shore of Virginia on 24-October-2009. pantani (1902), Salinas, California, USA
| 2.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 11/20 | Feb 28, 2006 Light amber body, no head. Aroma is malt, slight hop element, rather boring. Taste is caramel, weak hop background, and that’s about it.
