Commercial Description:
Only available bottle conditioned.
Available exclusively in Waitrose Stores over the Summer months, this is a bottle-conditioned, un-pasteurised beer, with a small amount of live yeast left in the bottle.
Brewed with Plumage Archer barley, blended with a small amount of malted wheat, and organic Fuggles and Goldings hops from Belgium. English Target hops are added after the boil to produce an aroma both light and citrussy, but with rich undertones of marmalade.
For Duchy Originals’ Summer Ale, we wanted to create a delicate straw-coloured beer bursting with summer-time flavours. So it has been brewed with more than a nod to the hop, which has given it accentuated citrus aromas, followed swiftly by hints of dried fruit and marmalade.
On the palate, there are delicate flavours of grapefruit and melon offset by an almost pine like hop flavour and a long lingering finish. Bring on the barbeque!

Dark amber with thin white head. Hoppy aroma with notes of vanilla, cheese, hops and sweaty socks. Cheese flavour with notes of hops and fudge. Firm english bitterness. Rock´n roll.

(Bottle) Pale amber colour, cloudy, with frothy off-white head. Fruity nose with notes of apricots, orange and citrussy hops. Slightly perfumy. Fruity taste with orange peel, apricots and citrussy hops in a rather short finish. Slight wheatish hints towards the finish. A decent summer ale, but hardly exciting.

500 ml bottle. Amber colour. Clear. Tall fluffy white head that clings to the glass. Strong fruity and floral aroma. A mix of esters and hops. Bready malts. Very rich and surprisingly complex aroma and flavours. Crisp malt flavours. Notes of orange and toffee. Next to no noticeable hop bitterness. Very drinkable and great session beer.

Bottled. Golden colour, very lightly hazy golden, firm head.Orangey nose. Medium sweet and lightly fruity with light bready malt. Some unpleasant boiled vegetables lure underneath a thim blanket or grassy, orangey hops. Vairly clean mouthfeel. The finish has a slight metallic edge, some sticky sweet orange marmelade and some light salty bitterness. Industrial and dull.
