Aromas are not very pronounced, a bit of hops and grapefruit perhaps. Flavors are a combination of fruit and predominantly malts with a hoppy finish. perhaps the body is a bit too thin. gunnfryd (3592), Kristiansand, Norway

| 3.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Sep 15, 2006 I tasted this one in Hamburg, Germany and without notes need to rely on the noggin for guidance. England had just won a match in the world Cup against.. well who remembers, atleast England won. I was seedy, just got off the ICE train from Amsterdam and I was feeling crook (anyone who’s been to Amsterdam don’t need a follow-up explanation!). A short venture from our hostel we came across a Schweinn-café, lovely place, beaut meals. Ordered this, along with something that no longer oinked and remembered to enjoy myself. I was in Deutschland afterall. This poured a deep, brazened copper, quite bright, finely carbonated. Head was short, a pad of off-white leaving minute lacing. Aroma was quite dull, woody, stale hops, good showing of toasted malts with light spice, I did try my best at the time to remember this as my wife was peeved I continued to carry a notebook around. Quite tangy yet seemingly dry in the mouth, light bodied and just spritzy on the tongue. Good showing of dusty, toasted malts, light extracted tannins, before an earthy presence of hops comes in. Finish is all hops and malt, not long, slight spice here, bready. This wasn’t bad and served alongside my brotwurst und pilz mit brot, it virtually aided in sobering me up. By memory not bad, one to try again with some decent tasting notes next time. (Vom fass, own stem glass) RAYBOY01 (1834), Chicago, Illinois, USA
| 3.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Aug 13, 2006 Creamy and silky smooth on the palate. Touch of lively carbonation, though keeping things lively. Very malt heavy upfront, with strong bread notes. The hops offered a mid-level bitterness with herbal/floral notes in the Continental style (Saaz?)
