Reddish colour, medium head. Nice fruity aroma, strong bitterness in taste. Some herbal notes make it quite interesting.

Made in a very good design that tricks your mind to think it is a great beer. It has almost no head, and the little there is, is ugly. I don’t usually remind the head much, but this was so ugly that it HAD to be commented. There is almost no smell, but if you snuff so much that you suck the beer up your nose (I did - ouch!), then you’ll discover a little sweetness from the malts. The taste is sourish, a little sweet, and a little of alcohol, like much eurolagers. Pretty watery body. Something positive about this beer must be that there, in the aftertaste that is, is some notes of cappucino, but it sadly gets boring and alcoholic, with a little metal after this.

Mid-amber with a foamy white head that passes quickly. Aroma finds a skunk fade before light cereal malts and minerals, nothing too appealing. Flavor finds a nice balance... a malt backdrop before a steady & consistent, bitter Euro-hop finish.

Aroma: hoppy, malty. Appearance: coppery golden. Almost white, beigetinged, milky head. Flavor: sourishly bitter, sourdough, pretty dry, hoppy aftertaste. Palate: dull, mediocre, slimy, pretty smooth.

Didn’t realize that this was an Altbier at the time. It poured a clear amber body with a good initial head that didn’t hang around for long. It smelled of caramel with a light herbal bitterness. The malt tasted bready and sweet, the hops kicked it up half a notch, and a touch of apple was added to the blend. Very drinkable, yet unlike the other Alts that I’ve had to date.

Bottled. Aroma is malty with light herbal hops. Light brown, beige head, good lace. Malty, light caramel malts, herbal, bitter, light dry. Clean but pleasant.

Tap in Leipzig, of all places, in Das Fass. Light copper, goldenish under such light. Lacing white-beige head. Aroma is mildly bitter and grainily matly. Taste is bitter, herby, and decently hopped. Thin, smooth with a dry finish.

Re-rate from the bottle reveals the liquid to be more of an amber, and a little caramel in the nose. A little more caramel and grain in the mouth, and the alcohol a bit more detectable. I had forgotten how dry this was. Rating stays the same, an avg Alt.
