(draught) Typical clear-ambar ale; good, not large off-white head, leaving fine lace. Overwhelming nose of vanilla, and at the verge of... vomit (sorry). "Perfumed" for the vanilla - rotten for the rest. Cookies & caramel as well. Taste is again vanilla-perfumed, bitterish at the end, breaking off most of the unpleasant reminiscences, and renuwing some others. There’s some hops lurking underneath. Some caramel. Medium bodied at best. Weird beer. The nose was off-putting, jeopardising the rest - which is rather OK.

Golden brown in colour, strong aroma of malt and a tad floral. Bitter taste and full of flavour but very smooth on the palatte going down. There is a carbonation in the mouth, but virtually none in the throat. Quite aleish. I give it a passing mark.

Dark amber colour with light carbonation. Hoppy but slightly dusty aroma. Beechwood imparts an english-style roasted bitterness. Lots of malt flavour. Thickish with a long finish. Very enjoyable despite a high price.

Bottled. Pale copper beer with a white head. Pleasantly flavoured, malty altbier, hoppy, a little oily and pleasantly acidic. Some orange fruit notes not over carbonated. A pleasant beer to drink, liked it.

20 Aug 2004 - Sweet fruit malt hop aroma. Clear orange-red colour, low head and suds lacing. Complex easy drinking light malt flavour. A nice dry finish

Light copper/bronze/amber body with a medium size off-white head. Head lasted fairly well and left a little lacing. Grainy aroma as well as slight caramel. Taste of hops is not strong but quite pleasant, a little citrus, a little bacon flavour, a little watery but went down a treat!!

Red beer, white head. Aroma and flavour is heavy on the bready malts, while the hops sit out for this one. Nice medium-thick palate. Not bad. Bottle.
