Dull, a little too thin. I was expecting quite a bit more maltiness to it. Looks nice, though.

Light amber in colour. Aroma of caramel malt, sugary sweetness with some mild hops. Flavour had lots of caramel, great malt backbone, chocolate sweetness. Medium body, mild carbonation. Finishes quite smooth with a mild lingering bitterness.

Great colour, a nice copper just as advertised. When the head dies, it DIES - not even enough to ring the glass. Slight toffee taste with clean aftertaste.

Tastes like what CUB would make if they were trying to make a German-style lager. Lightly toasty malt aroma with some metal. Thin, cardboardy malt with a solid and harsh bitterness. Slight sourness and a weird berry type flavour. Cool bottle.

Light copper appearance, light trailing head with decent lacing. Fresh carame- like aroma and flavor. A beer that you can tell the recipe has been matured and the brewer knows what they are doing. No high peaks or low valleys, just a smooth, easy drinking beer that is true to the style. Maybe a bit too tart though. Good mouthfeel, not too thick, not too thin.

A fine example of alt. Grainy, complex carbohydrate/malt aroma -- dark syrup and oats. Great bottle -- shape, embossing, label, seal. Bronze-brown beer. Tartish fruit, moderately sweet, grainy. Mouth goes a little thin, but it’s got a nice oaty finish. This is a great everyday beer - lots of flavor without being too weighty. Thanks to DougShoemaker for the tip in the LCBO!

Bottle (nice and original by the way): Poured a copper beer with an average white head and average retention. Aroma is comprised solely of some malt. Taste is a bit bland with some low roasted malt and some bitterness at the end. I could not detect any of the supposed beech wood aging though. Overall, nice refreshing beer lacking some complexity.

Very amber colour, little head. Decent malt flavour. Rather unremarkeable, but ok and very drinkable.
