This isn't the best copper coloured beer on the face of the earth. It is interesting to see this comming from Germany. And at least, something half-decent comming out of Holsten. Cognac colour with a medium sized quickly disipating, tawny head. Aromas are light but malty and sweet. Lots of caramel, buttery, mild malts and a little hop finish. It's worth a try.

Aroma is malty with a slight mustiness. Pours a light copper, white foamy head. Very unremarkable. Doesn't really have any kind of punch. Hops are there but do not stand out. A dry, flat finish. Drinkable but not one to search for.

What have we here. A lager that thinks its a beer? Orangey copper colour. Earthy/woody (I think I detect the influence of the beech aging) malt in the aroma. The mouthfeel is like a lager, but there is a fruitiness more like an ale. Dryish finish. A bit English in style - but with quite low bitterness levels. Not bad, but not that exciting. Bottle (500ml)

Soft and clear brown, head forms reluctantly but seems to hold OK. Aroma is also mild, but pleasant. Some caramel, but not really sweet. A bit smoky taste, mostly soft malt. Fairly unremarkable, if drinkable. More flavour, more character... or something like that is needed.

Pours a nice copper colour with a off white head, very nice. Aroma... caramel malts with a slight scent of citrus. Slight earth aroma. Initial sip is very smooth with loads of malty goodness. Caramel and molasses flavours. Has a nice soft carbonation to it. Ends with slightly bitter sweet flavours and the malt lasts....Very good!

Aroma of full bodied lager but with touch of smoky feel. Bitter with woody a la English ale feel (malt). Clean, decently brewed alt. Reminds me of English bitter ale mixed with sweet malty helles.

This beer was brought back by some friends who went to Germany. It poured a light brown color with a modest tan head and left a little lacing on the glass as well. The aroma was a little fruity and also a little wood-like. The flavor reminds me a little of straw, some malts, and it finishes very well and clean. Not bad.
