(bottle) pours a clear bronze colour with a frothy off-white head. aroma of herbal hops and pale malts over a backdrop of spices, caramel and notes of pear. flavour is the same, less subtle with a bigger herbal presence and some walnuts. medium body and carbonation with a semi-dry finish.

bottle, pours light amber with an off white head. Carmel malt and bannana aroma. Medium mouthfeel eith light toasted malt and a moderately bitter finish. More of a dunkel flavor. Not bad.

Pours a copper colour with a small white head that disapears quickly. Aroma of caramel, some herbal/vegital notes, biscuity malt. Tastes fairly woody (I guess from the beechwood) caramel some herbal notes and the biscuity malt. If I tasted this blind, I don’t think I would have pegged this one a German. I defintly would have guesses Brittan. Like a bitter or an English Ale. Still a well made beer that didn’t knock my socks off but enjoyable none the less.

500 ml bottle in Germany. Nice bottle. At first I did not like the first sip. Palate is bitter. But then it grows on you. Little character way to light in flavor and color for an Alt beer but drinkable if you dont think about it. Not great and not bad.

<i>Bottle.</i> So, I was pretty excited when I first tried this beer 4 years back, but either my taste has changed or the beer has. Pours a clear golden copper with a white head. Malty aroma with notes of hops and wood. Flavour is malt with wooden and flowery notes. Slight notes of hops. Finish is a bit malty and a bit grainy/alcoholic. Slight hops and a lingering bitterness. Not nearly as hoppy as I remember it, and which was what made me like it back then (maybe I was just easily impressed?). Now it’s just plain, but not a bad beer by all means. <i>Bottle. As ’Feldschlösschen Duckstein’.</i> Light brown / amber colour with an off-white head. Distinct dry, hoppy aroma. A bit wood-like. Bitter, hoppy flavour. A touch metallic. Great hoppy aftertaste, which sneaks up on you from behind. A great beer!

50cl bottle.It poured an orange colour with a medium big white creamy head that settled down slowly in the glass. Aroma is malty with notes of apples, caramel and wood. The flavour is dry and a bit bitter with notes of caramel, apples and cinnamon. It has a short aftertaste.

Transparent deep brown with a beige head and not much lace. Aroma is a little sweet with apples and cinnamon and some wood chip tones. Moderate carbonation and light consistency. Malty, very slight smokiness, and metallic. Dry at the end with molasses note.

Deep amber beer with a white lacing head. Interesting aroma with a touch of the cellar. Sourish yeast, caramel and some hop in the nose. The flavor contains the interesting touch too with the taste of the cask, sourish yeast, some caramel, dry finish.
