Sep 12, 2004 On tap at Camden Yards. Pours a cloudy yellow with a white head. Aroma is of banana and clove. Taste is pretty malty with more banana, clove, yeast and spicyness. Goes down smooth. Mouthfeel is full and round. Not my favorite style but a solid brew, especially at a ball game.

Jul 25, 2004 A very different beer. Not exactly one of my favorites at DuClaw, but then again I am a sweet stout kind of drinker. 13 Degrees was interesting to try and a good brew. A cloudy gloden brew with a strange fruity taste. Almost citrusy, but not quite. I guess it is the hints of clove that throw your palate off thinking it is a citrus flavor and the hints of banana give that strange fruit flavor you cannot quite pinpoint. A must try for your tongue to discover one of the flavors that beer can provide.

Jul 2, 2004 Looks nice, smells nice... Sounds promising, since I’m a sucker for a good German hefe. I got sucker-punched by sweetness though. The banana and clove hints are overblown into a full frontal assault on the tongue, and the beer tastes like it’s trying to be candy. Not the worst hefe I’ve ever had, but definately not a German hefe.

Jul 1, 2004 Pours a murky orange. Aroma is faint but of wheat and a bit of spice. Flavor is wheat, spice, a mild banana that blends with a hefty maltiness that I found set this apart from other hefes that I have had. The malt/banana blend was nice. Pretty good.

Jul 23, 2003 Cloudy, whitish-gold in appearance. Nice banana-esther aroma. A hint of cloves and wheat. Very light-bodied and minimal carbonation. Tastes of banana and wheat. More of an American wheat than a German wheat, but nonetheless still nice example of a wheat beer.

Jun 29, 2003 Pale gold, very cloudy. Lots of banana and clove in the nose. Good palate, rich and silky, very smooth. Banana flavors predominate, good spiciness.
