No head when it was served but believe it just disipated. Strong hints of coffee. Could have been a bit thicker. LiebeBier (793), Annapolis, Maryland, USA

This stout didn’t have near the flavor, aroma, or complexity of the samuel smiths or schlafly, but it did present a decent toasted malt characted which was very pleasant. | 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Jun 19, 2008 Draft @ Arundel Mills location. Dark pour and huge roasty aroma. Foamy head and some lacing. Huge bitterness from roasted malts and a slew of oatmeal along with some coffee hints makes this a not bad "breakfast stout". Surprisingly unsweet. Little to no hop bitterness and a bit thin. An okay stout. kmweaver (2493), Sebastopol, California, USA
| 3.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | Jun 6, 2008 Draft @ Arundel Mills location. Pours a dark, chocolate brown color; light tan head with glistening, fine-bubbled lacing. Solid amounts of chocolate and roasted malts in the aroma; some coffee; solid amounts of mineral / citrus bitterness; very pleasant hop character. Medium-to-full mouthfeel: zesty mineral / herbal hop character upfront, followed by roasted malts, coffee, and milk chocolate; very nicely balanced, lively stout; solid levels of carbonation; very drinkable. Medium finish: breadiness, toasty malts, dough, and lingering chocolate. Hmright (101), Annapolis, Maryland, USA

Completely drinkable and enjoyable. Ups Sam Smith by a little. If you can get near this brew, do it and enjoy it! batguy21784 (1), USA does not count | 4.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 10/10 | 4/5 | 10/10 | 5/5 | 20/20 | Jan 11, 2006 comes on like a stout, but not as bitter as many. dark brown color, light brown head. The aroma is chocolatey--but definitely dark chocolate--not the cloying sweet of like nestle. Flavor is full and longlasting. My favorite beer.
