comes on like a stout, but not as bitter as many. dark brown color, light brown head. The aroma is chocolatey--but definitely dark chocolate--not the cloying sweet of like nestle. Flavor is full and longlasting. My favorite beer.

This is another great offering from brewmaster Jim Wagner. Dark coffee, chocolate, and a touch of sweetness from the oats rounds this out finish. Reminds me a bit of the Black Jack Imperial Stout, but more like his baby brother. In other words much more subdued, but still excellent none the less. A few hops are thrown in for good measure too. I recommend a trip to DuClaw if in the DC / Balt Metro area. It certainly is worth it.

Draft @ bowie..body was dark, black, with creamy tan head. Aroma of chocolate with tastes of the same. Also hints of coffee but not too overwhelming. One of my favorites from Du Claw.

Dark, with a thin brown-reddish head. Smoky nose, some tobacco hints. Nice smokiness in the flavor, oatiness and coffee. Nicely quaffable stuff.

Yes, an excellent Oatmeal stout. Had it on tap at the Maryland Beer Festival in Frederick. Completely drinkable and enjoyable. Ups Sam Smith by a little. If you can get near this brew, do it and enjoy it!

Draft at Bel Air. Pours a deep brown with a beige head. Strong dark roasted malt and coffee ground aroma. Medium bodied but with a dry feathery texture. Flavor of cocoa powder, dark roasted malts, and coffee beans countered by a non-aggressive, but balancing bitterness. Easy to drink, but seems more like a coffee stout than a sweet stout.

Very dark brown appearance with a tan, speckled head that looked like - well, oatmeal. Fruity aroma with hints of chocolate malts. Smooth mouthfeel with a good amount of carbonation in the decent body. Lingering, slightly sweet finish.

Very pronounced flavor. Chocolate, not bitter roasted, but a toasted flavor. Very flavorful. Body smooth, but not thick. Body was too watery.
