Aroma was full of roasty notes, with lots of chocolate, coffee, some carmel and a little bit of that burnt carmel that I really like in a porter. The beer came off the tap opaque black with a tan head that stayed as a film throughout the duration. mmm mmm good, flavor is initially coffee with some flavors of cocoa that leads into burnt toffee, and a roasted heaven. medium-full mouthfull that was silky smooth. One of the best porters I’ve ever had NicerInPerson (337), North of Raleigh, North Carolina, USA
| 4.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 5/5 | 8/10 | 5/5 | 15/20 | Oct 4, 2007 The aroma was roasty coffe and chocolate with a low, yet pleasant, fruity aspect. The beer arrived Translucent black with a frothy brown long lasting head which laced the glass. The flavor was roasty coffee and chocolate, with light impressions of caramel . The flavors were very well blanced and not overdone, yet very smooth. The finish was dry with lasting roast, coffee and chocolate long and pleasantly into the aftertaste. the body was medium-full and with a moderate level of carbonation the beer was smooth and creamy on the palate. A truly great Porter.
Note: Had this one on both standard tap and nitro. I’m rating the standard since it was great. The nitro was not so great and a bit vegetal and if it were rated it might score a 3.3 at best. (6,5,6,4,12) kp (8500), Woodstock, Georgia, USA

Added to my RB list to check "Maryland" as a beer state consumed. A Camden Yards staple of mine. Dark and roasty. A good smeller, with roasty malts and hints of chocolate. Flavorful and tasty.

| 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 4/5 | 13/20 | Jul 16, 2007 Draft at Camden Yards. Poured a deep dark brown with some light brown around the edges and a very small light brown head. Aroma was nice upon warming and had lots of raosted malts, espresso and a slight sweetness. Flavor was weak compared to the pleasant aroma which was quite a let down.
