Aromas are of fresh malts, slight bready yeast, some caramel, and East Kent Goldings hops. There is no mistaking the EKG hop aromas, as they are earthy, and sweet. Tastes are of fresh malts, some yeasty bread, some caramel, and a slight lactic wheat malt tang. Medium mouthfeel. Neither thick, nor thin. Just right for a light bodied ale. Earthy hops leave a slight bite as it’s swallowed.
Some esters, but nothing major. A very clean, crisp ale. Finishes slightly sweet, but full bodied. Very filling. Overall, a more than decent local beer.

Had a sweet, citrus, mild, hop flavor up front that I found very refreshing. A good thirst quencher. Sweet, but not overly so, kind of like they had already put the lime in the Corona, but it’s a lot better! Medium sweet finish. Very nice. willblake (2189), Belcamp, Maryland, USA

| 3.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Sep 4, 2005 Draught at brewpub: Clear copper/golden body, small bubbles visable rising to the surface, small white head. The aroma shows a bit of earth, grainy malt, bread, and british hops (east kent goldings?). The taste also shows the same earthy/grassy hops, grainy malt (thought not in a dry, mealy grain way), light caramel, and a bit of bready yeast. Light-medium bodied, medium carbonation, well balanced with the subtle hops flavors. LordHedgehog (144), Westminster, Maryland, USA
| 3.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 2/5 | 16/20 | Nov 2, 2003 Poured clear and golden, with an ever-so-slightly fruity aroma. Tasted crisp yet balanced, with only a very light hop character. Malt was the primary flavor. Just not enough flavor in it to satisfy me, but not bad for a summer thirst-quencher.
