Commercial Description:
This handcrafted brew is our most popular beer. Could it be the mild hop character and smooth drinkability that brings people back? The light color and medium body? The name?

64 oz. growler, on tap. Poured out a very clear, golden yellow color, with a huge white, frothy, meringue-like head at first. Aromas are of fresh malts, slight bready yeast, some caramel, and East Kent Goldings hops. There is no mistaking the EKG hop aromas, as they are earthy, and sweet. Tastes are of fresh malts, some yeasty bread, some caramel, and a slight lactic wheat malt tang. Medium mouthfeel. Neither thick, nor thin. Just right for a light bodied ale. Earthy hops leave a slight bite as it’s swallowed. Some esters, but nothing major. A very clean, crisp ale. Finishes slightly sweet, but full bodied. Very filling. Overall, a more than decent local beer.

Draft at DuClaw Bowie - Very smooth taste of hops with small amount of head. Clear golden color wth a refreshing earthy aroma. One of my favorite from this brewer.

2005 - DuClaw, Arundel Mills - draft - Clear goldish color, thin, white, fizzy head. Well balanced with a hint of hops. Light. Good summer beer to sit next to the pool with.

On tap @ Arundel Mills-Poured a clear golden color w/a slight white head. Had a sweet, citrus, mild, hop flavor up front that I found very refreshing. A good thirst quencher. Sweet, but not overly so, kind of like they had already put the lime in the Corona, but it’s a lot better! Medium sweet finish. Very nice.

20090207 Tap at Bel Air location. Golden and clear. Light vegetal notes in otherwise clean, somewhat nutty quaff. Ripe grainy malts. Standard bp golden.

Draught at brewpub: Clear copper/golden body, small bubbles visable rising to the surface, small white head. The aroma shows a bit of earth, grainy malt, bread, and british hops (east kent goldings?). The taste also shows the same earthy/grassy hops, grainy malt (thought not in a dry, mealy grain way), light caramel, and a bit of bready yeast. Light-medium bodied, medium carbonation, well balanced with the subtle hops flavors.

Poured clear and golden, with an ever-so-slightly fruity aroma. Tasted crisp yet balanced, with only a very light hop character. Malt was the primary flavor. Just not enough flavor in it to satisfy me, but not bad for a summer thirst-quencher.
