Commercial Description:
Berserkr Uninhibited. Unhinged. Unstoppable. Combining a frenzy of rich malt sweetness, dried fruit esters, deep roast aroma and a potent alcohol content, our Baltic Porter is capable of defeating any resistance. This full-bodied, dark brown lager/ale hybrid conquers all who dare oppose it, with an unrelenting onslaught of flavor. So surrender now, and live to drink another day. This complex dark malty brew has a touch of fruit esters, a noticeable alcohol presence, and a clean lager character.

Never had a Baltic Porter and I was quite pleased with this selection. Can’t comment on what everyone else hasn’t mentioned. Decent seasonal brew that will make me pay attention moreso next time it comes around.

Bel Air. Pour was a medium bodied deep mahogany/black color with a small bubbly tan head. Aroma was chocolate and raisins with some coffee. Flavors were sweet milk chocolate, roasted malts, vanilla, carmel, and raisins. Still, like most Du Claw, the body is the only thing keeping it from being great! Still a very tasty B.P. otherwise.

Big, meaty and dark with a tan head sitting on top. Heavy on the malt. Touch of the fruit way in the background. First few sips were awesome. However, the alcohol becomes more pronounced the more you drink.

(Bowie) Beige head atop a clear brown-black body. Aroma is medium sweet, roast, chocolate, caramel, some cherry/raisin. Taste is moderately sweet, chocolate, roast, caramel, some earthy, cherry, lager yeast sourness. Medium-full body, some stickiness, alcohol well-masked.

On tap at Bowie, Md release party. Poured out thick, black, and had some reddish brown highlights. Tan colored head faded fast. Aromas are of espresso, dried plums, some cherries, strangely enough. Flavors are of roasted malts, dried fruits, slightly yeasty too. Medium mouthfeel, decent body, if a little thin. Finished somewhat chalky.
