Roasty nose, slight vanilla and bourbon as well. A bit of alcohol as well. Forwardly roasted malt on the tongue, strong oats as well. Enjoyable body and mouthfeel, fairly big. Slight apple skin accompanies the roasted malt finnish. The bourbon/vanilla has seemed to escape at this point. Simple, yet fairly nice.

Bitter coffee flavor, too alcoholic, or at least they could have masked it better. One of the blackest beers I have ever had. Not to mention one of the smoothest I have tasted as well. This is a great stout and could be offered to anyone, even if they dont like black beer. They should enjoy, but if you are reading this you will enjoy blank (998), Washington, Washington DC, USA

Deep black color which light doesn’t penetrate. The espresso of beers. Fantastic. bombshelter (349), Washington, Washington DC, USA

No lacing. Smells like toast, roasted barley. Awesome flavor, very smooth, dominant roasted flavor. Excellent imperial (though only 7.6% abv). happy4hops (369), Bel Air, Maryland, USA

Really, really black color with a decent sized (for a growler pour) head. Aroma of beautiful roasted espresso. The body is creamy smooth with full flavors of dark, bitter chocolate and creamy, sweet coffee. What an awesome beer. I could easily drink a growler of this myself.
