This traditional Irish bevvie calms the ire of the clans with it's delicious roast coffee aroma, smooth creamy feel and exquisitely dry finish. One pint of the hearty, deep garnet colored masterpiece and all grievances will be forgiven.

Draft @ Arundel Mills-Pours a black color w/a slight tan head. Coffee aroma. Kind of a standard stout, some coffee & roasted malt, a little chocolate; kind of a thin mouthfeel. Solid, but I wasn’t overwelmed by this one.

Draft - Pours a dark brown/black color with only a slight head, with a slight bit of lacing. Definite hints of coffee in the aroma. Light body with hints of coffee at the end. Much less complexity than I expected. Not bad, but pretty plain.

Draft at Fell’s Point. It pours dark brown with some lacing. It is just as advertised: coffee dominates, the mouthfeel is creamy, and the finish is dry. It is sweeter than I would have guessed but in a good way. It Is also a little thin. There is a strong effort here. Solid but not excellent.

This growler of brew from a rating party at the Hampton Innn after Dark Lord Day poured a medium sized head of foamy tan colored bubbles that were mostly lasting and left behind a opaque no visible carbonation black colored body. The aroma was smoky and dark malt. The mouth feel was weakly tingly at the start and at the finish. The thin flavor contained notes of smoky. A decent one that I would consider having again.

A thin tan head floats over this opaque black brew. There is a clean roasty aroma that carries a resemblence to espresso. The flavor is roasty though not burnt or bitter, yet this isn’t sweet either. To nit pick, I’d like a bit more body here, but this is still quite quaffable.

Sample from a growler @ DLD 4/28/07. Thanks to whoever brought this one. Pours a dark brown/black with a small tan head. The aroma is coffee and chocolate. The flavor is similar with roasted coffee, dark chocolate, and a touch of caramel. Medium bodied at best. This is definetly dry as advertised. Not superior, but a solid beer.

A solid dark brown pour with almost no head and light lace. A plain coffee aroma. More sweet in the flavor than I would have thought. Nice malt flavor and a good pleasant bitter finish. A tad thin on the body. A decent dry stout but nothing really special.
