(Bowie) Tan head atop a black body. Aroma is medium sweet, chocolate, roast, light smoke, lactic sourness and astringency. Taste is medium sweet, milk chocolate, bittersweet chocolate, roast, some coffee. Creamy medium body that is more full than usual for the style (a good thing in my book).

Draft... Black ale with a small, creamy, beige head. Good retention. The nose is of vanilla, chocolate, cofee and cashews. Sweet, chocolatey flavor. Light to medium-bodied with moderate carbonation. Short, too sweet, chocolatey finish. Not at all dry!

Tap at Arundel Mills in Mar 2008: Pours a mostly opaque black with a thin, frothy covering of tan head. Mildly roasty dark malty nose has a hint of sweetness and some fresh grassy green hops. Body starts semi-sweet quickly drying out revealing some dark caramel and chocolate before a roasty dry finish. A nice dry stout, even better on nitro tap as Nitro Fury.

Tap @ Arundel Mills: Poured a very dark mahogany color that was close to opaque with a creamy beige head. The aroma was of lightly roasted caramel malt with a hint of fruitiness. The roasty flavor had good notes of caramel. The beer had a carbonic bite to it. Actually all of them seemed to but I think this one was stronger.

This growler of brew from a rating party at the Hampton Innn after Dark Lord Day poured a medium sized head of foamy tan colored bubbles that were mostly lasting and left behind a opaque no visible carbonation black colored body. The aroma was smoky and dark malt. The mouth feel was weakly tingly at the start and at the finish. The thin flavor contained notes of smoky. A decent one that I would consider having again.

Draft at DuClaw Fells Point. Black body with no head. Nose is roasted malts, light coffee and hints of dark chocolate. Taste is roasted malts, light coffee-ish notes and dark chocolate. Pretty typical but done well enough to be good. Body is medium with a moderate carbonation feel. Finishes with more roastiness, dark chocolate, cocoa, light coffee and sweet malts. Nice dry stout!
