Commercial Description:
One sip of this medium bodied hoppy American brown ale and you will dedicate your soul to its pursuit. Sweet and rich malt flavor with notes of chocolate, caramel and nuts, are balanced by an equally intense hop presence, a citrusy aroma and a 5.5% abv. Blessed be this ale.

From growler. Pours a clear light brown body with a reddish tinge and a slightly off-white fizzy head. Nutty, lightly roasty nose with some cocoa powder. The flavor is dry and nutty with a light grainy note, pretty well done for a Brown Ale. Light bitterness on the finish balances things out. Light to medium bodied with light soft carbonation. Overall pretty nice really.

On tap @ DuClaw Fells Point. Clear amber/brown with a light tan head. Aroma of roasted malt, biscuit and citrus hops. Sweet malty base with plenty of hops to add a great bitterness. Medium body with mild carbonation and a long finish. This was great, the abundant hops really make this one shine. Well done.

BCTC. Many thanks to the incredible generosity of the RB crowd. Brown with ring head. Caramel nuts and spice aroma and flavor. Watery palate. Pretty average for a good beer.

[2368-20090801] Growler. Heavily toasted aroma has wood and bread notes along with mild bacon bits and mild apple fruit. Clear, golden amber body with a quick foamy light tan head. More toasted wood and bread grains in the flavour. Medium body. Quite good.

Brown pour, tan head and sticky lace. Toasted malts and caramel on the nose. Creamy body. Rich chocolate and nutty upfront with a fruity finish. Notable hop presence

Growler at BCTC 2009: Amberish brown tan film- fruity aroma with some toasted malt undertones. Velvety creamy feel. Nice toasted nutty flavor with some subtle fruity yeast character. Mild cocoa notes as well. Pretty solid.

2009-08-01. Brown body with a modest tan head. (3+) Very earthy malty aroma. (6+) Similar flavour, very earth malt, mild bitterness, hints at smoke. Average palate. Not to my taste for some reason. Just didn’t work for me today. Growler at BCTC 2009
