| 3.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 16/20 | Aug 14, 2008 Hoppy, slightly fruity, balanced with sweet malts and hints of chocolate malt/roastiness. There was quite a bit going on in this beer for the quality. Different from other brown ales, but a good one. illinismitty (1809), Nashville, Tennessee, USA
| 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Aug 10, 2008 Draft at Arundel Mills. Pours deep amber with a tan head. Sugary malt aroma. Flavor has lots of brown sugar and maple, with a good amount of residual sweetness, and very little nuttiness. Slight buttery finish. Interesting, but not my thing. A bit too outside the box for me. beachbum25 (805), Powellville, Maryland, USA
| 2.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 10/20 | Aug 10, 2008 On Tap-Bel Air-Dark brown pour w/a moderate tan head. Sweet, hoppy aroma. Had a sweet flovor up front; molasis & brown sugar mostly, some roasted malt, caramel, & nuts. Had some hop bite to it as well. This sin’t generally my favorite style & the hop bite didn’t help it in my opinion, just kind of muddled it up. Long, burnt almond finish. NomDeBeer (400), Maryland, USA

Well balanced with notes of pine hops, caramel sweetness, and ash-like malt. Reminds me of Hibernation Ale with less alcohol. Possibly the best brown ale I’ve had. sloth (1687), Ceciltucky, Co., Maryland, USA
| 3.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Jul 27, 2008 Draft@ Belair. Small tan head with decent retention and minimal lace. Clear brown colored brew, darker edging. Nose of caramel and to me, a fair amount of maple syrup with some bready notes. Body is medium and a bit too clean on the palate. Flavor follows suit with the aromas but some roasty notes were found. Lightly sweet finish, not alot going on here. dpjuart (670), Indiana, Pennsylvania, USA
