Commercial Description:
Devil’s Milk is brewed in July and aged until its release in November. It is “dry-hopped” (hops are added after fermentation) nourishing the soul with an unholy alcohol content nearly double that of our other offerings while tempting unwitting patrons with its intense hop finish.

Sharp alcoholic bite to this one. Red body with little to no head. Some medium bitterness with the hops but this seems a little unbalanced.

Clear, light amber; big-form bubbles. Vanilla aroma, hops, more balance than in some comparison barleywines. Oily smooth going into my mouth but a bit astringent once it gets there and...there’s something ugly in the finish (I can’t identify what).

RBSG 2007: Bottle: Poured copper with a light tan head. Aroma, fruit, caramle, molasses. Flavor, spicy, caramel, some sweetness, with a good helping of fruits, some nice bitter hops on the finish. Very nice beer.

RBSG07. From 32 oz. Bottle. Pours amber with a nice orange head. Aroma very floral and grapefruit. Slight malt sweetness presence. Flavour is sweet, fruity, not really raisins but close. Perfect blend. Long hoppy sweet finish.

1 L bottle thanks to drewbeerme. Pours an orange red with a thin white head. Nose is carmelly sweet and fruity. The flavor matches with lots of brown sugar, carmel, toffee, and red fruit. This is really sweet when its cold as it warms the darker flavors attempt to counteract the sweetness tar, charred and roasted flavors try to balance off the sweetness but the sugar and syrup is a little too much for me.

1L bottle. thanks to kmweaver for this. awesome label and name! pours dense dark orange with the thinest of off white heads, the bottle made no popping sound. nose of sweet plums, cotton candy. flavors are sweet, cotton candy, brown sugar, sweet plums, slight tar and tobacco in the finish. the finish is brillant and makes this beer something special. it actually balances the sweet notes and makes this something to be respected. alc is very well hidden, i’m amazed it’s 12.2%. the carbonation is extremely low but it works real well. hardly any hop notes. i’d love to age this 1-4 years, but it’s awesome now. delicate, complex, and balanced.
