The aroma is sweet with primary notes of butterscotch, but also light notes of caramel. The flavor is very sweet again with notes of butterscotch and caramel, but also with notes of raisins and a coffee liquor like Kahlua. BückDich (4857), McCall, Idaho, USA

Called "Eu4ia" or something equally clever. Brown amber, light head and lacing. Nose of toffee, raspberry, caramel, irish cofee, kaluah. The flavor is super malty, chewy, caramel, coffee, toffee, sweet. No hops. Rich sassafrass roast. Finishes sweet, creamy, maple, coffee. Licorice? Bonus points for unique, but a bit off my taste preference. argo0 (6982), Washington DC, USA

Aroma is moderately sweet, toffee, some chocolate. Taste is sweet, toffee/butterscotch, chocolate, light nut. Light-medium body with light stickiness. I found this too sweet to be wholly enjoyable. nimbleprop (936), SouthWest, Washington, Washington DC, USA
| 4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | Jul 22, 2006 Maple brown with a white creamy head. This beer had a sweet aroma to it. The taste was stronger than most other nut browns, very sweet and sugary. The flavor is extremely strong toffee, with a brown sugar and maple finish. Very clean after taste. All in all wonderful, but a little too sweet to be consumed in mass. Worth a pint. Capa (993), Yokosuka, Japan

Flavor is mildly sweet with toffee, with slight nuts and some hazelnut. It had a nice brown color with minimal head. Definitely something I’ll order again. aracauna (2391), Georgia, USA

But perhaps not for those who don’t like sweet beers. Pretty good dessert beer. themadmumis (344), Westminster, Maryland, USA

Followed through with taste, representing toffee type tones, but not overdone like some other DuClaw brews. Medium body; brought Growler home and like ’scraff’ states ’I could put a straw in the growler and go to town...’ scraff (1955), Baltimore, Maryland, USA
| 3.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 3/5 | 8/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | Jul 13, 2006 Deep brownish red, thin creamy white head. As it warmed, rich tones of toffee nut crunch coffee combine with mellowed butterscotch and chocolate. Maybe even hints of hazelnut perhaps. Flavor matched the nose with more toffee brittle, butterscotch notes, and hints of nutty coffee. Loads of these flavors, but without any major sweetness. Great drinkability at 4.8%. Light bodied, soft carbonation, rich, dry, malty finish. I could put a straw in the growler and go to town....
