aroma was full of mocha and deliciously malty. Really great aroma! dark amberish brown with a head that cleaved to the edge of the glass. flavor was much like the aroma accept even better. lots of mocha flavor, carmal maltiness, and some toffee. good medium palate. The best brown ale I’ve ever had.

Draft at Fell’s Point. The aroma of toffee, caramel, and chocolate is strong. The taste is magnificent. It is well-balanced so the toffee/chocolate flavors remain the focus. It has a mild but lingering aftertaste. It is sweet, but not overdone. I love this beer. My girlfriend says "it tastes like a pretzel." I have no idea what she is talking about.

arundel mills - i loved this beer. deep bronze body and a ton of toffee and chocolate coming off..not a lot of head, but the flavor basically reminded me of drinking a heath bar (which is one of my favorite candy bars, hence, i loved this beer). very light body, i could have drank this all day...the flavor that delivers for a beer that isnt very heavy is impressive.

Maple brown with a white creamy head. This beer had a sweet aroma to it. The taste was stronger than most other nut browns, very sweet and sugary. The flavor is extremely strong toffee, with a brown sugar and maple finish. Very clean after taste. All in all wonderful, but a little too sweet to be consumed in mass. Worth a pint.

Dark brown with a nice layer of creamy head. Aroma is chocolaty, with sweet sugary caramel as well. Flavor has a slight roasted bitterness but predominantly nutty and sweet, hazelnuts come to mind. Similar to Bailey’s Irish Cream, almost. Very enjoyable and delicious. I was happy to leave with a growler for later.

Dark copper brown. Nice hue. Faily big aroma of vanilla, mocha and toffee. Really pleasant. But perhaps not for those who don’t like sweet beers. Pretty good dessert beer.

Deep brownish red, thin creamy white head. As it warmed, rich tones of toffee nut crunch coffee combine with mellowed butterscotch and chocolate. Maybe even hints of hazelnut perhaps. Flavor matched the nose with more toffee brittle, butterscotch notes, and hints of nutty coffee. Loads of these flavors, but without any major sweetness. Great drinkability at 4.8%. Light bodied, soft carbonation, rich, dry, malty finish. I could put a straw in the growler and go to town....

Growler... Clear, Longhorn-orange ale with a large, fizzy, off-white head. The nose is a swirl of vanilla, gingerbread, deeply roasted cashews and almonds, chocolate, caramel and toffee. The flavor is well-balanced, although it does lean slightly toward the sweet side. Big caramel, toffee and roasted almonds cling to a slender malt backbone. Light to medium-bodied with a skim-milk mouthfeel and lively carbonation. Thin, watery finish. Kudos ring out to scraff for sending the growler!
