Commercial Description:
Hellrazer boasts a light amber color, citrus aroma, smooth hoppy finish, and devilish 6.2% abv. This new IPA will more than fill the void for you hop heads out there during Venom’s absence, but we promise, Venom will return with the hops.

I must have gotten a different beer or it was labeled wrong at Bowie. Poured out a dark brown color, with a thin tan head. Aromas are of roasted malts, coffee beans, dark dried fruit. Flavors are of roasted malts, spicy hops, coffee beans. Medium body, thin mouthfeel. Mot my favorite offering from Duclaw.

Draft at Fells - Orangish copper, lightly hoppy nose, some citrus, flavor is light malt, with some pleasant citrus and grassy hops in the finish. Decent

This was aweful! Probably the worst beer I’ve ever had. It was supposed to be an IPA, but no hops to the nose, nor to the taste. The backend had the distinctive taste of dirt. Won’t buy it again. :(

On tap @ DuClaw Fells Point. Clear light amber with a long lasting off white head. Citrus and pine hop aroma with a good amount of caramel malt. Full flavored, bitter and sweet that is nicely balanced. Medium body with a mild carbonation and a long dryish finish. Tasty.

Location: Draft at the Fells Point Brew Pub, 9/6/09

Aroma: Some citrus, hops, a bit spice, some floral essence in there as well
Appearance: Clear golden color, lots of lace on the glass
Flavor: A nice hoppy flavor with a good amount of spice and caramel malts for backing
Palate: Medium bodied brew, lingering flavor
Overall Impression: This was a pretty average IPA, not great, not bad. Something you could drink no problem, but not something you’d go out of your way for. Try this one at DuClaw as you are sitting outside enjoying the view.

Clear copper pour. Thin off white head. Pine and grapefruit aroma. Caramel and fresh zesty hops. Big floral hints going on

Tap at Arundel Mills in Mar 2008: Pours a transparent deep bronze with a thin coating of stringy-lacing white head. Has a fresh piny grapefruity hoppy nose with sweet pale malty undertones. Starts with decent fullness and sweet toasty caramel and pale malt before a crisp, bittersweet finish. A pretty nice IPA with good grapefruity citrusy hoppy notes.

On tap at DuClaw Fell’s Point. Aroma is grapefruity and citrusy. Palate is medium in fullness, with light carbonation and a long finish. Flavor features citrus and soapy hops, with a clean, unmasked bitterness. Reminded me on Opa Opa IPA.

Draft. Rich amber beer with an off-white head. Light grapefruit and light malt aroma. Light grapefruit and light pine flavor with light malt. Medium bodied. Some bitterness. Light pine bitterness lingers with light grapefruit and light malt.
