[Draft at the Bowie location] This is announced as an Australian Lager - never heard of the style, so it must be a new style for me - and probably should be added to Ratebeer ;-) I think this beer would be a good introduction into drinking craft beer - but I think I’m too "old" for that.

A pale yellow beer with a thin white head. The aroma is sweet with light notes of cardboard and corn. The flavor is sweet again with notes of corn and cardboard, leading to a dry slightly bitter finish.

Waitress described this as an Australian Lager, akin to Foster's (hence the beer's name). Appearance is clear straw. Aroma is grassy with a bit of spiciness, medium sweet. Taste is medium sweet, malty, some fruit, and hint of grass. Minimal bitterness sneaks in after the swallow. Medium body, richer than what I'd expect.

on tap-pours a foamy white head and yellow color. Aroma is crisp, grain. Taste is crisp, grain/light malt-some sweetness (honey?), secondary light/floral continental hops. OK/mild carbonation.

Clear, straw-colored brew with a small, creamy white head and decent lacing. The aroma is of light honey and not much else. Lightly malty flavor with orange blossom honey up front. Well-balanced. Lightly acidic and acetic hop presence on the backside. Light-bodied with a watery mouthfeel and lively carbonation. Short, crisp, clean finish. Ahhh, Summertime! This beer was much better than expected!

Draught @ DuClaw Bowie Gold yellow, light head and lacing. Nose of light pale malt, no hops. The flavor is crisp, but again, not very flavorful. Finishes mild; pass. No adjunct though, which is nice.

A blonde lager with a thin white head. A rather chalkey malt with a bit of sweet corn. In mouth, a sweetish malt with not a lot of body, rather boring. On tap at Duclaw Baltimore, Dec. 29 2008.
