Jan 20, 2008 on tap-pours a retaining thin off white head and amber/copper color. Aroma is medium malt, fruit, musty. Taste is sweet medium malt-caramel, fruit, musty, yeast. Medium body. OK carbonation.

Dec 14, 2007 Draft at Fell’s Point. Poured amber color, small head, good lacing. Mildly spicy and crisp, clean finish. Good oktoberfest.

Nov 25, 2007 Arundel Mills location. Light auburn brown pour. Canned pineapple, nutmeg and brown sugar on the nose, with plenty of candy tones. Hints of allspice and creamy pistachio sweetness; lovely. Heavy banana sugar leads the flavor, especially bold in the sense of its rotted out flesh; baked pears and crisp spices in clove and dry gum on the back end. Warm honey and full malt structure beneath. Pleasant, understated, and distinctive. Slippery, and medium bodied in the mouth. An interesting and well-nuanced example.

Nov 21, 2007 Amber color with a slight tan head. Aroma is sweet and bready. Flavor is sweet up front with some wheatiness. I generally don’t care much for Oktoberfest beers, but this one I can handle.
