Light aroma, predominantly candy sugar. Light-to-medium mouthfeel: chewy malts, light citrus; basic, drinkable amber ale. Mildly dry finish, less dry and crisp than one would expect. illinismitty (1799), Nashville, Tennessee, USA

| 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | Dec 26, 2006 Updated: Dec 29, 2007On tap @ Arundel Mills-Poured a clear amber color w/a very slight head. Had some lacing, not a lot. Kind of a "standard" amber. Roasted malt up front w/a somewhat bitter finish. Nothing wrong w/it, but there are a lot better examples of this style out there. Average brew.
Rerate-Was here again this Christmas & found this brew much more enjoyable this time, don’t know if it was them of me. Seemd much fresher w/a crisper malt flavor. Definite sesson Ale. biggcb (464), Harleysville, Pennsylvania, USA
| 3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Dec 11, 2006 Tap @ Bowie. Amber color with a moderate head. Aroma is fairly split between malt and hops. Somewhat sweet, but relatively balanced. Easy drinking. Average and unoffensive. Aurelius (2652), Tallahassee, Florida, USA
| 2.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 2/5 | 12/20 | Dec 9, 2006 Deep brown-red and clear. Can’t smell it over the cigarettes at the bar, but it’s lightly sweet-malty. Briny , dry, lightly astringent. A soapy flavor in the back of the palate which makes me wonder if the glass wasn’t washed well. Not very bitter. medium body. Better fizz than the others here. | 3.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Nov 22, 2006 I really liked this beer. It was Rock Bottom’s Racoon Red, without as much hop presense. It wasn’t their best, but a very strong/solid offering. webjedi (249), Silver Spring, Maryland, USA
| 3.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Nov 12, 2006 Less hoppy, but still almost as bitter as the Venom sampled that day. This was the "middle of the road" beer for the 6 beer sampler. If slightly less hop and more malt, I would recommend it as a session beer. Slight sweetness on the togue and just creamy (not as a stout or porter, but moreso than a typical ale) on the tongue. Probably the third best beer of the patch (Octoberfest and Bare Ass Blonde topped for this go ’round) (Tap 11/11/2006) Ungstrup (15343), Frederiksberg, Denmark
| 2.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 4/5 | 5/10 | 2/5 | 10/20 | Oct 12, 2006 [Draft at the Bowie location] An amber beer with a thin beige head. The aroma is light with notes of caramel - too light for my liking. The flavor is sweet malty with notes of caramel and bread, and with a light note of metal in the finish. I find it kind of boring - lacking character.
