The aroma had big raspberry notes with some dark chocolate underneath. It smelled like those chewy chocolate covered candy log things. The flavor was roasty and the raspberry was light. Nothing like the aroma. There was also a hint of coffee. The flavor lightened up a good bit on the finish. Medium bodied. alobar (1041), Harleysville, Pennsylvania, USA

Easy to drink many of these. buck1313 (3), USA does not count | 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Feb 10, 2007 The cofee that DuClaw uses to flavor this seasonal dominates the palate. This year’s example has a very defined raspberry flavor, followed by the ccholoate, then coffee, and then stout. A definite dessert beer. themadmumis (344), Westminster, Maryland, USA

A stout beer with clear chocolate and raspberry tones that are only filled with a medium body. Drink it as dessert or all night long. Brought home a growler and enjoyed it in 24 hours... never had a brew like it and I’m looking forward to next February to see if it comes back.
