lamas (576), Adams Morgan, Washington DC, USA Dec 31, 2007 Draft at Bowie location. Came to the table a clear amber with no head at all. The usual aroma of grapefruits, pine needles and some caramel. On the thin side with a bit too much carbonation. Tastes like it smells. Decent malt backbone with ample citrusy hops upfront. Dry finish. Very drinkable, just nothing outstanding.
joeymacaroni (116), West Chester, Pennsylvania, USA Aug 28, 2008 i mourned this beer when they took it off of the normal rotation due to hops shortages and whatnot. this beer was my introduction to IPA’s, the first beer i ordered on my 21st birthday, and it was my staple to get whenever we went to the Bowie location. tons of juicy floral citrus hops in aroma and flavor. tons of grapefruit with even a little spruce. long finish. awesome. NomDeBeer (150), Baltimore, Maryland, USA Aug 4, 2008 Draft @ Bel Air location back in March 2008. Damn good pale ale full of citrus hop aroma and flavor (grapefruit) with a little bite on the back end. Highly drinkable and enjoyable. bma4573 (133), Mechanicsville, Maryland, USA Feb 4, 2008 Draft, poured a copper color with hints of piney hops, and a citrus after taste. Not a big pale ale, but not bad at all very drinkable, for a hoppy beer. vadavid (131), Fredericksburg, Virginia, USA Dec 29, 2007 On draft. Pours a clear copper-orange color with a thin head. The aroma was full of piney, floral hops. The flavor was crisp with a slight grapefruit citrus bite. There’s a bit of pine and some malt in the background. The after taste is dry and pleasantly bitter. This was an easy drinking beer
