beeranarchist (176), Aalborg, Denmark Aug 7, 2007 Bottle (batch 4). Pours a huge and creamy beige head. Dark amber and clear. Aroma is bread, caramel, butter and herbs. Weird muddy flavour dominated by caramel, hay and some hops, maybe the brewer used to much of the specialty malts? Bitter finish, medium to watery body.
harrisoni (5359), Ashford, Kent, England Oct 4, 2008 Bottle at EBF 08. Some toffee, and sweet Danish malt. OK hop. It’s ok, not wonderful but ok. Tranquillity (1074), Espoo, Finland Aug 30, 2008 Dark red body, tiny white head. Hoppy white bread and toffee aroma. Strong hoppy, bittersweet taste, but something is missing. turbothy (619), Nørrebronx, Denmark Aug 26, 2008 Pours dark reddish amber with a small head that quickly disappears altogether. Nice hoppy aroma. Quite hoppy flavour, but very prickly mouthfeel. In the end an average decent beer. Miksu (1291), Jyväskylä, Finland Jul 27, 2008 0.5 l bottle. Red-amber color with small head. Sweet, caramelly and toasty aroma with citrusy and grassy hops as well as some alcohol. Toasty, caramelly and toffeish flavor with flowery-lemony hops. More on the malty side yet firmly bitter. Chewy mouthfeel. Good firm taste but surpringly distinctive alcohol note for a 6 % abv. FatPhil (2365), Espoo, Finland Jul 27, 2008 500ml bottle (SOPP2008, Helsinki)
Sugary aroma, then fruity esters. Refreshing palate. Well balanced, quite hoppy, and a good dose of fruity esters. Slips down very easily.
