500ml bottle (Orsted Olbar, Copenhagen)
Almost black, healthy tan head. Rich coffee and flapjacks aroma. Decent carbonation, but pretty soft. Taste also coffee-like. However, theres’s an excellent hoppy later taste that leaves a pleasant tingly finish as well as the burntness. Cures what ails you.

Tap at EBF 2008. Pours black with a good creamy lasting head. Aroma of smokey roasted malts. Plenty of espresso/coffee. The coffee is not as conspicuous in the taste as in the aroma., finish is quite dry. Good stuff.

Bottle 50cl.
Clear dark brown color with a large, frothy - creamy, good lacing, mostly lasting, beige head. Aroma is moderate to light heavy malty, chocolate, coffee, mocca, dusty, vanilla notes. Flavor is moderate to heavy sweet and bitter with a average to long duration. The flavor is a little sharp and spiky. Body is medium, texture is oily, carbonation is soft. (270608)

50 cl bottle. Hopheads´ tasting 22. august. Dark brown, almost black color. Moderate beige head.Aroma is very roasted and also has coffee and chocolate. Flavor is the same, and that makes this a very fine porter.

On tap at Bishops Arms, Stockholm. Black as the midwinter night with a good creamy head. What do we have here? Smokey, roasted malts aroma, espresso with hints of iodine. Islay-inspired? Roasted coffee, chocolate, Islay whisky flavours ending dry as an espresso. Complex and demanding beer- you will not want buckets of it!
