Pitch black color. Aroma of heavy burned malt and liquorish mixed with underlying bitter hoppy notes. Over the palate came cold bitter coffee. Full bodied with an average carbonation and thick alcoholic texture. Heavy bitter flavor with good counter sweetness. Lingering liquorish and bitter coffee finish. | 3.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 4/5 | 11/20 | Jul 20, 2008 Bottle. Frothy lightbrown good mostly deminishing head. Black-brown colour. Harsh malty moderate hoppy very roasted and light smoked aroma. Heavy bitter flavor. Exstremely roasted and burnt, not very pleasent. Long finish. Creamy palate. Not my style, much too roasted and coffee-like. Dedollewaitor (3746), Odense, Denmark

| 3.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | May 20, 2008 Draught, Monk’s Cafe, Stockholm, Sweden. Black colored in the glass with a fine head. Aroma initially hints well of fudge cake and tiramisu, but it strangely fades after some time in the glass and turns a bit stale. Flavor is nicely balanced and unique, with espresso, toffee and peanut butter flavors. It lingers nicely on the palate with hints of Cappuccino. It’s a fairly nice, unique, but not world class beer.
