Medium lasting brown shiny head. Opaque black body goes deep dark brown at edges. Deep burnt wooden aroma with coffee and alcohol notes, very harmonic. Intense dry burnt soory chocolate and wood taste. Sharpish mouthfeel. Bitter burnt dandelion and wood aftertaste lingers for a long time. Good, but a bit harsh and dry. (0.4l draft at Tre Små Rum, Göteborg.)

Tap, thanks to yespr. Pours a deep clear dark brown colour. Sweet aroma of chocolate, coffee and lagered plums. Nice mouthfeel. The flavour is quite sweet with well roasted coffee and chocolate, toffee, plums and roasted malt. Good long lasting sweet and bit dry, roasty coffee and chocolate finish.

From tap at Den tatoverede Enke. Pours dark brown with a little reddish hue and a dense light brown head. Aroma of mild coffee and smooth chocolate. Flavour solid bitter, dry malt, smooth chocolate and a slight fruity to herbal touch into the finish. Ends smooth and nicely bitter.

On-tap. Tre Små Rum. Gothenburg. Dark brown colour with a beige head. Aroma: Roastiness, chocolate candy, rosted sesam seeds and coffee. Flavor: Very salty, roasted, lots of coffee, cocoa, light sourness, some alcohol. Very dry finish. Maybe a bit unbalanced. Re-rated 090724.

Draught at Glenfiddich Warehouse N.68, Stockholm, 2007-09-10, 7-4-7-3-14=35
Creamy aroma, cappuccino and barley coffee (you can find it in Italy...), clean, burnt log. Thick, oily, quite balanced mix of roasted malt, caramel, liquorice, sweetness. Maybe there are a bit too much ashes at the end. Much better than the one that I had the day before; strange but good.

Draught at Bishop’s Arms, Malmö, 2007-09-09, 5-4-4-2-8=23
Black color, with a nice creamy cap. Aroma of roasted malt, but also wet cardboard and ashes, too strong. Strong body, thick, smooth, a bit oily; there are sugars and a lot of roasted malt, and a touch of liquorice, also good hopping.
All this would make a very good beer, but it really tastes as if I’m sucking up an ashtray! Horrible feeling.

Draught at the Rover. Black with a brown creamy head. Aroma heavy malty (coffee, brown sugar, chocolate). Flavor heavy sweet, moderate bitter. Full body, almost creamy.
