gunnfryd (3539), Kristiansand, Norway Nov 3, 2009 Botlle. Red black colour with a tan head. Aroma is dry, smoked, coffe, cacao, roasted , malt, chocolate. Flavour is the same . Full bodied world class beer. SaintMatty (1197), Tallinn, Estonia Oct 12, 2009 Draught (Stockholm Beer Festival 2009) - Black in colour with a tan head. Strong coffee aroma with hints of plain chocolate. Coffee, liquorice and plain chocolate in the taste which has loads of body. Rich and complex, but easy to drink. Delightful. SuzyGreenberg (1318), Seattle, Washington, USA Sep 4, 2009 500 ml bottle - thanks after4ever!! tons of coffee on the first nose; thin, dark brown and kind of a chalky; toasty, ashy, roasty, coffee and dark fruit; very tasty, love the nose WeeHeavySD (2940), San Diego (Hillcrest), California, USA Aug 25, 2009 90th rating of this brew, I’ve been totally into the crazy label from grovlam’s flickr page. Got this from a domestic trade, rather than going international which is a nice change of pace. Pours deep blackish brown with a tan head. Nose is extremely rich with a lot of burnt coffee beans and roastiness. Taste is sweet and chocolaty and extremely rich and roasted. Good but very intense. sayravai (3720), Helsinki, Finland Aug 7, 2009 (Bottled) Very dark brown with a huge, beige head. Weird and original aroma with salty, tarry licorice, french fries, and chocolate. Flavor of tarry and salty licorice, some burned ashiness and roasted malt. Medium to full body with somewhat foamy palate. Certainly a brew with personality, but I’m not sure this is as good in greater quantities (like this 50cl bottle). bitbucket (2026), Kirkland, Washington, USA Jun 1, 2009 00. Thanks, After4ever! Pours cloudy dark brown with a lacy tan head. Phenomenal aroma of roasty malt, chocolate, brown sugar and coffee. Creamy medium body. Thankfully, the taste follows the nose pretty closely. Mild espresso finish. hirigalzkar (550), Stockholm, Sweden May 18, 2009 Bottle. Robust! Coffe beans, salty soy/Ilicorice. Very powerfull and good but maybe a little to burnt in taste.
