| 3.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 5/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 14/20 | Sep 5, 2007 Draught. A beautiful reddish black with medium head. Coffee aroma. A bit strange sour taste (end of barrel?), very bitter. Fruity taste at first, which turns into leather with a licorice backstab. Dry coffee finish. Rastacouere (5561), Montréal, Quebec, Canada
| 3.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 5/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | May 31, 2007 Draught, Oliver Twist. Big tiny bubbled foam covers the dark coloured, almost black liquid, quite opaque. Rich fruity, malty nose full of blackberries and grapes amidst the nost so agressive roast that hints at tobacco and mild coffee. Cottoncandy and nuts are included among further subtleties, but frankly, this is a fruit focused porter, rather sweet at that and without the tartness that you’d usually expect in such a brew. not that this is a problem. The gentlest floral hops manage to procure a slight cut to the fruit sugars. Firm bodied, expansive mouthfeel and ample carbonation. MesandSim (5939), London, Greater London, England
