Commercial Description:
The heartiest brew from the Gothenburg suite is a Robust Porter full-eared with caramel malt, balanced with black- and chocolate malt, then topped with a pinch of oat. The hops are First Gold, Pioneer and Chinook. This porter easily tightens your waist-belt in company with the porter steak, chocolate dessert or as stimulant on its own. In earlier days porter was recommended for breast feeding women but we have no intensions of doing so.

Draught. Sweet liquorice aroma. Almost black colour, small light brown head. A little cardboard flavour. Not much roastiness, more like a sour graininess/bitterness.

Draught at Stockholm Beer Festival 2006. Black color with creamy tan head. Apple, bisquity toastiness and aromatic maltiness in the aroma. Roasted and acidic flavor with firm bitterness, apple and aromatic maltiness. Flat palate and probably not at its best.

(Draught) Pours dark brown. Light ledpencil aroma with some shellfish. Dark chocolate/cocoa. A bit peppery and salty. Piny, flowery hops with grapy notes. Plums. Pretty dry, light roasted flavour with some coffee and a light hoppy bitterness . Dark, dry chocolate. A bit milky, coffee sour aftertaste.

(Tap at Stockholm Beer Festival) Very anonymous porter that might be suffering from being sampled after Rasputin.. Re-rate pending.

(Draught, Glenfiddich Warehouse 68, Stockholm, 3 Nov) Dark brown colour, almost black, with ruby hints, pale brown frothy head. Roasted, malty nose with chocolate, notes of roasted oatmeal, spices and citrussy hops. A bit like julmust (Swedish Xmas softdrink) after a while. Roasted, malty taste with citrus, hops, dark bitter chocolate, coffee and dark cherries. Hints of port. Nice and warming.
