Aroma is fruity & flowery hops and some slight grassyness and berries. Flavour is slightly roasted malts, some really grassy hops and a bit of caramel and fruits. A really pleasant and wellbalanced thing. omhper (12299), Stockholm, Sweden
| 3.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 3/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 14/20 | Jun 4, 2007 Updated: Jun 25, 2007Bottled at Oliver Twist, Stockholm. Cloudy brownish amber. Piney lychee aroma.Sweet and lightly fruity. Perfumy and somewhat soapy with medium body and clean mouthfeel. Drying finish with lingering salty bitterness. Lovely inviting aroma, but the maltprofile doesn’t quite match that.
Subsequently sampled on keg at Akkurat as well, where I found it more balanced and with a more inviting malt character. Ethereal (1511), London, Greater London, England

Rather disappointing - this has a nice aroma with hints of elderflower and peaches but the taste and palate are distinctly run of the mill. The hazy amber appearance doesn’t help. Svesse (2683), Hässelby, Sweden

Fruity nose with citrussy hops, grapefruit and pine needles. Fruity, hoppy taste with pine needles, grapefruit, orange and loads of citrussy hops. Medium body, mainly dry. Hardly complex, rather one dimensional, but ver good. Ungstrup (15420), Frederiksberg, Denmark
| 3.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 2/5 | 13/20 | Jun 2, 2007 Draft. A hazy amber beer with a thick orange head. The aroma is sweet hoppy with a very strong spicy note containing notes of coffee, elderberries, and vanilla, I don’t find the spices in harmony which is a drawback for me. The flavor is sweet and rather hoppy, and again with a strong spicy note, though a bit more mellow than in the aroma, the spices include vanilla, the flavor also contains lighter notes of elderberries, smoke, and caramel, leading to a nicely bitter finish. Inspite of the 6.7% ABV I find the body thin, probably due to a low level of residual sugars. Marsiblursi (1659), Göteborg, Sweden
| 4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 5/5 | 8/10 | 3/5 | 16/20 | Jun 1, 2007 (Draught) Pours light hazy copper to blood red. Both very hoppy and malty aroma with pine, grapefruit and caramel up front. Also a reasonable amount of roasted malt. Light fruity undertones of pineapples, apricots, lychee, strawberry jam and maybe some tangerine. Even some small hints of liquorice and cocoa. Rather fruity flavour with some roasty malt to back it up. Soft mouthfeel with a more bitter profile than other Dugge beers, very grapefruity. Roasty and hoppy dryness in the finish, The roastiness makes a unique twist to this IPA like beer, Very special. Medium body. Cool!
