Commercial Description:

[Draught at The Beefeater Inn, Gothenburg, Sweden] Very dark brown. Firm and small beige head. Salt, licorice and tar in both aroma and flavour. Full-bodied. More like a stout to me...

(Stockholm Beer Festival 2006) Darl amber, brownish head. Great toffee aroma, vanilla, butter, malt and milk chocolate. Malty, fruity flavor with some bitterness added. Nice bitter finish. I want more...

Draught. High creamy off-white lasting head. Clear very dark red brown body. Lovely cocoa aroma. Cocoa hops flavor. Too bad that it was served so cold. Low carbonation. Long burned malt aftertaste.

Tap at 3 små rum (judging from the piece of paper I wrote the rating on). Cloudy red with some tan head. Sweet aroma, spices, hops, some malts, a bit dry, some paper. Taste is sweeter, some roasted malts, a bit burnt, a bit dry. Lasting taste. High bitterness.

Draught at Bishops Arms, Avenyn, Göteborg, Sweden. Nice reddish brown colour with a medium creamy beige head. Quite complex malt profile that sneaks upon you halfway through the glass; fruity and estery with chocolat notes. Some citric hops as well leading to a long bitter finish. A subtle and delicious brown ale.

(Draught at Akkurat, Stockholm) Colour is dark brown with ruby hints. Nose is roasted with lots of chocolate and hints of smoke. Taste is roasted with chocolate and some tar, nice bitter and dry finish. Reminiscent of a porter. Nice, but with somewhat too much carbonation and rather unbalanced.

(Draught at The Rover, Göteborg) Pours dark with red reflexes. Medium head. Smells chocolate, mint, caramel and some coffee. Taste is round and smooth with tones of sweet liqourice. Mild roasting. Some mint in the taste. Milk felling. A very plasant coffee/cocoa afterbitterness. Complex malt. Taste of cookies. Best Dugge so far.

From the tank at the Brewery: Nice creamy foam, and dark brown body.Aroma of hops, and a nice chocolate maltyness. Medium body, and a nice bitter finish. Reminds me, a littlebit of a Norwegian chrismas beer.
