Rather unusual combination of flowery hops and heavy caramel malt. The malt was not very refined and had a slightly stagnant feel. The tangy bitterness coming from the hops compensated, but I still found the balance a little suspect. An intriguing beer though - always interesting to get European takes on British beer styles. Just makes you realise how difficult categorisation is.
