Commercial Description:
The King distinctively points out which is the glass in the house. This Strong Bitter, with the classic Caramel Malt Flavours of England has both fullness and strength. Gustaf has a refreshing hop bite, where EKG and Cascade stands for the inviting aroma.

Bottled from draught, RBESG 2005, Grand Tasting. Brown colour, strong aroma of caramel and Chinook hops. Decent malty flavour with some caramel, well balanced with the hops. A nice strong bitter!

Bottle at RBESG Grand Tasting 05. Hammelin and Rick Gordon kindly told me the story behind this beer, namely that it is to do with the founder of Gothenbury, pointing where he wanted the city to be. Malty aroma. Ahsy, charcoal briquette flavour. Stouty for an ESB, but flavoursome.

Sampled at RBESG 2005.
Clear dark amber colored, disappearing head. Sweet and full aroma of malt and spices and some yeast also - good balance. Earthly and malty in the flavor, quite sharp with tones of nutmeg. Thin finish. Quite odd in the taste and unbalanced. Cool name and label though!

A deep red beer with a thin brown head. The aroma is sweet flowery with notes of caramel and hops. The flavor contains notes of straw, flowers, and hops. The end is dry hoppy, but the body is a bit thin.

(Bottle 50 cl) Beautiful chestnut brown and clear with a fine, small, creamy head. Incredibly lovely, aromatic hoppy nose. Hops continue all through the flavours supported by some very soft, roasted malt. Kinda watery body but throughout a true delight. 120805

Bottled (in Grolsch-bottle)
Dark ruby color with decent tanned head. Caramelly, malty aroma. Medium-bodied. Mildly hopped, sweetish, some roasted notes. Long hoppy aftertaste, although body itself is not so hoppy.

(On bottle at RBESG 2005)Aroma of gin(?) and malts. Watery mouth and a small pleasant carbonation. Soft beer, has a smallhint of juniper in the finish. Dosen´t make much of the 6.3%.
