This stout is made as an experiment just to see how a lot of roasted barley goes with exactly the same hops as in Avenyn Ale

Re-rate draught at Söderbärke Ölfestival and Glenfiddich Warehouse, Stockholm. The green apples are replaced by milky chocolate. The mouthfeel is now more rounded. Much improved comparing to what I had at Stockholm Beer Fest.
Draught at Stockholm Beer Festival Black, small beige head. Aroma of spicy hops, licorice and green apples. Medium sweet with light-medium body and clean mouthfeel. Some chocolate before a salty, tarry finish. Too much green apples. [4/4/5/3/9 = 2.5]

Draught at SBWF 06 as Höstbryg. I wonder if this is the one. The aroma and flavour are sour, but OK balanced out by some malt.

Draught (As Höststout 2006). Pitch black colour, small beige head. Aroma is slight roasted malts and caramel. Flavour is roasted malts, hops and caramel. Some applish hints also in it. Could do well with bit more roasted hints, but otherwise good.

Draught at Bishop’s Arms
Black color; creamy head. Nice and delicate aroma of roasted malt, with Digestive cookies and light hops. Medium-light body, the flavor is basically from the roasted malt, with a touch of acidity deriving. The final is bitter with too much burnt sugar. Not bad, but too monodimensional for me.

Draught (as Höststout 2006). Opaque black, good steady tan head. Toasted malts, coffee notes in the aroma. Light palate, cold coffee notes. Some hops in the aftertaste. Good roasted aftertaste.

Draught @ Bishop’s Arms, Malmö. Pours a black colour with a tan head. Roasted malty coffee aroma, with some hoppy hints. Sweet roasted malty flavor with hints of coffee, chocolate and hops. Dry roasted malty finish with some bitterness.

(Draught@Pikkulintu, Helsinki) Very dark reddish brown with a medium, creamy and foamy, lacy head. Slightly sweetish, roasted-malty aroma with licorice. Licoricey, slightly burned, but mostly roasted-malty flavor. Nothing spectacular, but a fine, enjoyable and pleasantly low-abv stout, without excess color malt. Nice!
