Commercial Description:
A "Best bitter" with a slight amount of roasted barley, that puts emphasis on both colour and taste. Centennial- and Cascade hops gives Johanna a mild, but fresh bitterness and also an eldery floweriness. A lovely, light, dry Bitter that balances nicely on its high pedestal.

bottle at Gotherborg beerfest pours dark brown, off white head. Aroma is malty, with some bitter floral nose, some light roast and coffee. Taste, malty, light roasted palate followed by a floral and herbal hop balance.

Thanks Omhper for this bottle. Appearance: amber color. Medium to big head, dense, lasting y with good adherence to glass. Aroma: caramel, nuts, dry flowers, hay and earthy notes from yeast. Flavor: very light toast, dry-hoppy progress with flowery and dry-herby profile. Nutty and with reminiscences of hay and apple skin; slight citrus note like oranges. Final background with two faint and rare ashy and moldy notes, maybe for yeast problems. Palate: light to medium body and medium carbonation. Remark: the latter ashy and moldy notes hide partly the first good impression in this beer.

(Bottle 50 cl) Courtesy of yngwie. Clear amber golden with a small, off-white head. Fat citrusy aroma. Light-bodied, a little caramel and fruit but otherwise completely dominated by dry and bitter aroma hops. More of an American Pale Ale really. 230808 and 180908
