| 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 2/5 | 14/20 | Mar 24, 2008 nice multi layer head. Aroma of stale coffee and hot cereal. Be patient and let it warm. The brew is thiner than expected for an oat stout and at only %5 abc I can see why. Still the flavor is spot on almost like rum balls. larsga (2980), Oslo, Norway
| 3.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Feb 29, 2008 Medium brown head. Deep dark red barely translucent body. Milky oaty chocolate aroma with burnt notes and some peppery hops. Sweetish oaty burnt chocolate taste, slightly watery. Some acidity. Soapy, pepperynotes. Aftertaste again has peppery hops, and some wood. Not bad, but not a complete success, either. Good for such a light beer, though. (0.5l bottle at Tre Små Rum, Göteborg.) | 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Feb 7, 2008 (Bottle) Pours a very dark brown to black colour with a red glow. Light brown head. The aroma is of medium roasted, light caramelly malt and citric/floral hops. The undertones hold notes of liquorice, dark berries, chocolate and coffee. The flavour is coffee roasted with citric/limey hops to back it up. Medium bitter and dry. Bit sourish. Some liquorice in the flavour as well. Quite soft but Dugge have way better beers to offer mouthfeel wise. Light to medium bodied. henk21 (5), Sweden does not count | 2.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 4/10 | 3/5 | 3/10 | 3/5 | 9/20 | Feb 7, 2008 50 cl bottle chared by two thirsty mates.
Aroma: Somewhat sour, small notes of coffe.. and a salty almost oceanlike scent. Dark brown to black in colour, a nice firm head at first, 2 fingers high faints after little while. A slender body that could use some creaminess, thats missing here. Tastes of dark chocolate, roasted malts and little bit of hoppy bitterness. Aftertaste is quite dry which always is nice in a beer like this. There is that sourness again which dominates the aftertaste and mostly is just irratating. A tame stout that lacks of both caracter and balance. Wouldnt by it again but worth the try at least.
