Nose is roasted (almost burnt), with hints of juniper bushes, chocolate and tar. Taste is roasted, with juniper berries, burning spruce-twigs and tar. Surpisingly light body, velvety and very drinkable. The best beer I’ve tried from this brewery. joergen (8627), Frederiksberg, Denmark

Slightly thin body. Some bitterness but not too much. Very dry finish. fiulijn (7420), Como; Lausanne (CH); Malmö (SWE), Italy

Nice smooth aroma of roasted beans, malt, bread, hop and some yeast. Served at the right temperature, and with a low carbonation, it can easily match a good Real Ale; soft malt body, fresh and smooth, with a lot of fruity caramel, some roasted malt and nuts, aromatic hops; a good balance, all throughout the final as well. Very good. stouby (1955), Holbaek, Denmark

Dark brown/black with a large light brown head, mostly diminishing. Aroma moderate malty (burnt) and hoppy. Flavor moderate sweet and (too) bitter (bites in the tongue, not in balance). Light body, watery, flat carbonated. Troubles with the taps. rickgordon (3319), Göteborg, Sweden

Almost black in colour. The smell is loaded with juniper. It’s like walking into a julmust factory just before X-mas. Is it the Goldings-inspired First Gold hop? Soft mouthfeel - the oats? - with notes of chocolate but still juniper plays first violin. No roastiness was detected. Little sulphury. Light bodied. Good amount of flavouring hops as the flavour profile is yummy, yet bit unbalanced. The bitterness is thorough but gentle. omhper (12260), Stockholm, Sweden

Strong chocolatey aroma. Medium sweet with creamy mouthfeel. Mildly roasty with some milky chocolate. Towards the finish toffee, grass and licorice picks up. The bitterness is gentle, but builds up to respectable levels. A schoolbook example of oatmeal stout. ante (2960), Stockholm, Sweden
