Dugges Never mind the Bollox!

Draught at the Rover, Göteborg, Sweden. Deep amber to copper, rich creamy off-white head. Intense flora hoppy aroma with a solid caramelly malt base and some notes of pine and lytchee. Medium to heavy body and velvetly smooth. Perfect balance betwwen malt swetness and bitterness, and a loooong finish. Rating 8/5/10/5/18->4.6.

Subsequent samples have been a bit less great, rating therefore lowered.

Draught. Dark amber with white head. First thing when I nosed on the glass was candy. The sweetness from the alcohol and malt dominates the bitterness from the hops in any case but the hops are there! I really liked this beer but it is a bit too strong to take two of in the same sitting.

On-tap. At Tre Små Rum, Gothenburg. December 07. Reddish brown color with a small head. Aroma: Sweet fruit, caramel, flowers, perfume and citrus. Flavor: Lots of sweet fruit, caramel, grape, pine, flowers and a light note of alcohol. Dry finish. Very tasty stuff, but hardly a good session beer.

Tap @ Glenfiddich Warehouse. Ap; Dark mahogny color. Aroma: Milky with grassy hops. Taste: Lot’s of things going on here! Reminds me of Arrogant Bastard in it’s way of being able to present much of everything without being unbalanced. Caramel, grapefruit (really bitter), orange, burned malt. Ov: This has to be one of the better DIPAS out there.

On draught at the brewery. Deep amber colour with medium-sized beige head. Big floral aroma along with citrus and pine. Very steady body with jellyish mouthfeel and a HUGE hop flavour - this beer is green from hops by all means. Am I in San Diego? Still good malty, with lots of sweet fruits. 80 IBU’s is hardly noticed after that insane amount of flavouring hops. The bitterness just lurks behind the sweetness. A brutal beer!

Draught at Bishop’s Arms North, Stockholm. Ours out in a hazy reddish amber colour with a small sticky white foam. Big and vibrant hop aroma of lychee, black currant, grapefruit, resin, grass and flowers. Starts fruity and rather sweet of black currant, plums, caramel and pine-needles but finishes really bitter of grapefruit, currant-leaves, lychee and blood oranges. Nearly full-bodied. Delicious!!!

Draught (TR). Amber colour with a small off-white head. Hoppy, light floral aroma. Very hoppy taste with fruity notes. High bitterness. Gave me hoppy burps for several hours.

Draught at Tre Små Rum, Göteborg
Beautiful amber color, with creamy head. It has a very nice hop aroma, fruity (sweet oranges), but also a pleasant trace of homebaked cookies, yeast and very light bread. Solid body, it has an excellent flavor, mixing sweet toffee and quality hop, quite fruity and partially resiny. The final is balanced (for such beer) and quite long. Excellent.
