Commercial Description:

On-tap at Bishops Arms, Avenyn, Gothenburg. Deep-brown color with a beige head. Aroma of roasted malt, coffee, licorice, citrus and dark chocolate. The taste is roasted with notes of coffee, spices, smoke, black chocolate, rye bread, citrus and a bit sourish. Light bodied and a bit watery. I find the sourness in this porter a bit too much. Tried it again on bottle 080711.

2008-03-04, draught at Bishop’s Arms, V. Hamngatan, Göteborg, 6-4-6-3-12=31
Black color; creamy head. The aroma is not only roasty, but also breadish. The mouthfeel is medium-thin and dry, with a lean roasted malt flavor. Well, you know it, not my kind…

2007-11-09, 7-4-7-3-15=36, draught at Den Tatoverede Enke, Copenhagen
Dark color with red shades, strong chocolatey aroma. Good body strength, strong flavor, mixing caramel, dark chocolate and some roasted malt, a bit of sweetness and the bitterness is just above the average. Chocolate drink. As usual a good beer from Dugges.

Draught. Low white and quickly disappearing head. Very dark brown clear body. Coffee choccolate aroma. Strangely enough the flæavor is like the aroma, coffee and choccolate but none of these flavors are especially dominant so there is also room for some hops bitterness, although te beer generally feels pretty mild.

At the brewery. A dark brown beer with a red shine under a thick brown head. The aroma is sweet with loads of chocolate as well as hints of acidity from the very hard roasted malt. The flavor is sweet and starting off with strong notes of chocolate, but then the roasted malt gains in strength combined with a hint of acidity from the hard roasted malt, to give it a rather dry finish that last for a long time. The mouthfeel is very smooth.
