Pours a really dark brown body, next to black, with a small beige head on top. Slightly sour aroma, indicating the beer being over the top, but after letting it rest for a while, roasted and burnt malt is taking over the show. There’s also chocolate, coffee and a fruity touch. Roasted, burnt chocolate and coffee flavor, with a little acidic note in the background, strenghtening my theory of the beer being over the top. Medium body, quite dry. Finishes as it starts, with a good coffee-like bitterness, and a fruity, hoppy touch. Well, not excactly my idea of a porter the way it’s experienced now, so I leave the old rating untouched. Rating: 6-4-6-3-12-3.1. And that’s probably too generous. (080816)
Tank at the brewery. Dark, dark brown with just some reddish notes. Topped off with a small, tan head. Chocolate dominates the aroma, and is followed by coffee, roasted malt and some fruity hints. The flavor is with chocolate and coffee, quite sweet and with some fruitiness. A refreshing, mild porter with a long finish that is quite coffee-bitter. Medium body. I like it. Soft aroma of roasted malt. Rather light body with sweetish, roasted malty notes - but also both coffee and chocolate. A discreet malt bitterness. "Our summer Porter", the brewer explained. 250806 GarethYoung (1110), Glasgow, Scotland

Deep reddish brown colour, nearly black. Creamy tan head. Roasty aroma and flavour with notes of coffee and chocolate. Maybe a tad too sugary in the flavour, still it is fairly light bodied and easy drinking. KnutAlbert (3127), Oslo, Norway
