fiulijn (7150), Como; Lausanne (CH); Malmö (SWE), Italy Jun 25, 2007 Draught at Bishop’s Arms, Malmö Dark brown color with amber hue; creamy head. Good aroma of malt, caramel, hop, some yeast. Soft mouthfeel, caramel taste, residual sweetness, light roasted malt; weak body at the end; medium-low bitterness, if not for the roasted malt. Too easy, at least it’s also refreshing and easy to drink. anders37 (4516), Malmö, Sweden May 4, 2007 Draught @ Bishop’s Arms, Malmö. Pours a black color with a longlasting creamy off-white head. Sweet roasted malty aroma with some chocolate and licorice hints. Sweet roasted malty chocolate flavor with some fruity vinous hints. Dry rosted finish with some bitterness in the aftertaste. oh6gdx (8798), Vasa, Finland Mar 21, 2007 Draught. Black colour, small brownish head. Sweetish hoppy as well as lots of roasted malts. Also some citric and licoraceish notes. Flavour is roasted malts along with fruity hops. Mouthdrying. Aftertaste is strongly roasted malts and some hoppyness. A bit too sweet for my taste, but otherwise good. larsniclas (3383), Gothenburg, Sweden Mar 18, 2007 Draught at Haket.
Pitch black. Small beige head.
Milky, sourish, licorice-aroma.
Rather vinous flavour; port and tobacco. rlgk (3377), Vårgårda, Sweden Mar 15, 2007 Draught at Haket, Göteborg.Pitch black, creamy brown head. Milky cocoa aroma, coffe, tobacco and some toffee notes. Fruity licorice flavor, vinous, spicy and with some tobacco. rickgordon (3285), Göteborg, Sweden Mar 8, 2007 On draught at Haket.
Dark brown colour, small beige head. Big licoricy nose, with coffee, cocoa powder and un-named berries. Pretty light mouthfeel with a dash of black currant behind a surface of cocoa and toast notes. Hop level feels high, and I sense phenols. Long good bitterness. Semi dry. omhper (12155), Stockholm, Sweden Mar 8, 2007 Draught at Oliver Twist, Stockholm. Very dark brown, small creamy beige head. Roasty nose with some apples and licorice. Dryish and fairly light bodied with clean mouthfeel and salty finish. With it’s light applyness it’s not my preferred choice from Dugges. Svesse (2597), Hässelby, Sweden Mar 4, 2007 (Draught at Oliver Twist, Stockholm) Very dark brown to black colour with almost no head, just a brown ring around the glass. Nice, roasted nose with heavily roasted coffee, chocolate, tobacco, liquorice and notes of citrus. Roasted, hoppy taste with dark bitter chocolate, roasted coffee, liquorice and lots of citrussy, piny hops in a long, roasted finish with fresh hops. Body a bit thinner than expected, mainly dry. Really good stout, definitely one of their best this far.
