Draught at ZBF 06. Pours a dark brown, with a creamy white head. Aroma is roasted malts and some caramel. Taste is slightly sour, metalic, some sweetness. An almost dusty mouthfeel and a bitter aftertaste.

Bottled (thanks brunnsbe). Amberish brown colour, small off-white head. Lemon, fruit and malts in aroma. Flavour is the same along with a lot of spices and some nuttyness.

Draft. Dark brown body with a small tan head. Flowers, cocoa, sweet malts, and choco-notes abound in the aroma. Taste is caramel, cocoa, floral notes, and light roastiness. Body is creamy with a medium overall feel and a mild carbonation to it. Finishes semi-sweet with light cocoa, caramel, flowers, and light tart fruits.

Hazy chestnut brown with a small head. Tart, fruity aroma. Caramel and fruity flavours, yet with a good sourness balancing the sweetness. Medium body and carbonation. A special and quite complex beer.

Aroma is brown sugar, malt, hops and caramel, ruby, small toffee head, and some pretty lace.Taste is a milder malt, hops mix than the nose indicated. Light bodied, sweet mellow in the mouth. Very good! Thank You Ralph!

Bottle shared with Ralph, HogTownHarry, blankboy, DougShoemaker & mds - courtesy of Ralph. Hazy dark amber with a moderate light tan head. Woody, well-aged aroma, with a hint of freshly roasted coffee beans. Flavour is sweet to start, with roasted malt and coffee bitterness in the middle, and some herbal hops in the finish. I frankly expected some weak-ass Duvel clone based on the bottle, but this ended up being a really unique and impressive beer.
