Thanks to bleeng for this bottle. Dark brown with red garnet shining through. Fruity, cran-raspberry nose. Flavor is sweet and sticky with a slight metallic finish. Interesting brew...thanks for sharing this Rick.

Dark red brown beer with a creamy beige head. Aroma of sweet malts, a bit candylike. Also some notes of dark fruits. The flavor is similar sweet. A bit sticky in the mouth. Again some dark fruits, candy and notes of bread and roasted malts in the aftertaste. Medium bodied.

330 ml bottle. Dark brown colour. Medium-sized off-white head. Not entirely clear, but a little hazy. Medicinal aroma. Hints of licorice. Medium-bodied. A little dry, but with some residual sugars. Powdery dry hop finish with no bitterness.

2008-03-03. Very dark brown body wiht a fingers worth of beige-tan head. Mild aroma of sweet malt, hints of dark fruit and some sugar. Flavour is similar - sweet malt, dark fruity sugar notes. Fairly mild but tasty - it drinks lighter than its weight, but has a good amount of flavour. Smooth average palate. (3+)
Bottle at Cambrinus, Brugge
