| 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 8/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Jan 17, 2007 (Bottle 33 cl) Hazy, dark brown with a neat, dense and lasting - almost cappuchinoish - beige head leaving laces. Sweet aroma of roasted malt, nuts and brown sugar. Sweet, full body with plenty of roasted malt and a lightly coffeeish touch without really being burned at all. Subdued bitterness. Quite lovely. 160107 altonbrownd (1943), Amsterdam, Netherlands

Coffee, caramel and fruity finish. Bit too weak considering they type of beer and alcohol content. Still enjoyable nonetheless. Bart (1653), Brussels, Belgium

A dark reddish amber ale with a thin off white head. A nice rosewater malt aroma, swet, classy and restrained. In mouth, like a good dunkel, sweet rosewater, light metallic notes, medium bodied. Overall, quite enjoyed. Shared with the Outaouais Crew, at Old Stock Tasting No. IV, Nov.11 2006. DrBeer (777), Danderyd Stockholm, Sweden

Dark raisin brown in colour with creamy off white head. Nose of malted bread, raisins and brown sugar with suprising fruit hints - mango, grape and pear. Flat and subdued flavour of malts, coffee and bread. Overly sweet with too little bite. Short, watery finish. Disappointing on its own, but probably a good accompaniment to a Sunday roast. pivnizub (5059), Bochum, Porúří, Germany
